Robotics Camps
Robotics Camps have come to the Mini-Cassia area. Now students from around the area have the opportunity to design, build, and program VEX robots.
Each student will have hands-on experience:
• Using advanced and popular VEX Robots Kits
• Learning and Using C Programming to Program a robot
• Learning to design and build robots to accomplish a goal.
• Competing your VEX Robot against others
• Earning Robotics Merit Badge
• Having a blast!
Merit Badge
Upon completion of both days of the camp, the participant will meet all requirements for the new robotics merit badge. The robots for the merit badge cost $400 or more, so our camps are an excellent opportunity to get the merit badge at an affordable cost.
Day 1
8:30 Class begins
• Introductions/Welcome
• Safety
• Robotics Industry
• General Knowledge
11:30 Lunch is provided
12:00 Hands on the robot
• Learn the Parts of a robot
• Design a simple robot
• Build your first robot
• Program your robot
2:30 End of day
For three day camps this day will repeat.
Day 2
8:30 Class begins
• Receive the Game
• Design robot to accomplish new goal
• Build your competition robot
• Program your robot
11:30 Lunch is provided
12:00 Hands on the robot
• Debug and Test
2:00 Competitions! Parents are invited
• After action review.
• Sign Blue Cards
2:30 End of day
